Koi grow to fit the size of the environment they live in. If you keep a Koi in a fishbowl, it will grow to about three inches in length. In a small aquarium it will grow to six inches. In a pond the Koi will end up about a foot in length. If you put a Koi in a lake, it will reach three feet or more.
